Each of her dancers in the ensemble was meticulously selected, not just for their individual talent, but for the unique flair they brought to our vibrant family.
The JRDS Competition Team now is more than just a dance team; it’s a close-knit family. We embrace every new member with open arms, standing together through every challenge. What sets us apart? The joy we find in the art of dance and the camaraderie we find in being the part of a team! Our dancers dedicate countless hours perfecting their craft, because excellence is not just a goal; it’s our way of life.
In a remarkable journey, JRDS Competition Team has always made waves. Following in the steps of Jorday’s original dance company, Mambo’s Finest, who were honored to grace the stages of numerous parades, festivals and concerts alongside talents like Ray Sepulveda, Jonny Rivera, Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, and have appeared on television in shows such as City Grooves and the VH1 Pre-Grammy Awards at Madison Square Garden.

Don’t worry if you’re still building your skills; we offer specialized classes for all levels of dance. Youth can participate in our Progressive Training Classes designed to elevate their dance journey.
But that’s not all—each member of JRDS Competition Team shines not just on stage but in the classroom too, maintaining no less than a “B” average and most team members proudly holding honor roll status in their schools. Their vibrant energy and innocent exuberance create a captivating stage presence that mesmerizes audiences.
Our Team has always thrilled crowds, including performances at the Jones Beach Summer Concert Series and performing at prestigious events like The Congresso Mundial de la Salsa, the Puerto Rican Day Parade, the Annual Colombian Day Festival, and many more multicultural celebrations.
