Who’s Jorday Rivera
Jorday Rivera is a remarkable woman who lead double life during her earlier years. By day, Jorday was an honorary Pre Med. Graduate student at St. John’s University. Worked the chief of cardiology at The Parkway Hospital for four years. After a long day of work and school she would turn in her scrubs and puts on her dancing shoes. She begins practicing and prepares for the business that awaits her. Jorday was a very ambitious and driven young lady. She has worked very hard her whole life to be the very best at everything she does. Her parents always told her that she could do anything she puts her mind and heart into. One of her main priorities is to make her family proud, and that she has done.
As a child, Jorday’s parents would take her to Broadway shows and musicals. As a Christmas present her parents took her to see the Nutcracker. That was when Jorday fell in love with dance and decided that that’s what she wanted to do when she grew up. Jorday’s parents enrolled her in different dance classes. She took an exam and got accepted to Phillipa Schuyler School for the gifted and talented. At that moment, most of Jorday’s life was to be dedicated to dancing.
She would go to school all day, work and then put on her shoes and go to dance rehearsals along with her father until 3:00 a.m. every day. Her parents were very supportive. Of course, there was one condition. If her grades slipped, she would not be able to dance and would be removed from her dance team and dance classes. This only served as motivation for her. Not only did her grades not slip, but she excelled at being one of the top students in her class. Jorday wanted to prove to her parents that she can do it all and 15 years later, she has not fallen short of doing so.
Jorday Rivera has an extensive background in the art of dance. Her specialties include Mambo/Salsa, Cha-Cha and Latin Dance. For the past 20 years she has dedicated her time to study and perfect the art of Mambo/Salsa dancing. Jorday strives to become the best dancer she can be.
