Michael “Koreambo” Park began dancing salsa/mambo 1992 in the nightclubs and at parties thrown by friends. He received formal training form Eddie Torres (“Mambo King of Night Club Styles”) and Bob Powers (10-time American Rhythm Champion). Michael also has extensive experience teaching and performing in a variety of dance styles, such as Cha Cha, Merengue, Waltz, Foxtrot and Swing. He has taught and performed in nightclubs, studios, festivals and corporate events, most notably the Apollo Theater, Salsa Nite at Club Cache, SPICE Summer Festival and El Flamingo Nightclub. About his own style, Michael says: “My dance style is characterized by a smooth flow with lots of room to improvise. The key is to let the dance come from within each individual, because if it doesn’t feel good, why do it? After 10 years of dancing mambo, I am just getting started, and I am looking forward to a lifetime more!”
