General Guidelines and Attire:
No previous dance training or experience is necessary.1
If you’re interested in taking any class, all you have to do is show up.2 You can begin instruction right away.
In all of the Latin Classes, we have 3 levels3: Beginner, Intermediate, And Advanced with 1 instructor per level.
In the Belly Dancing, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom, HipHop/Modern, there is one instructor teaching the lesson. In every class a new routine is taught. So don’t worry about being behind with class material.
If it’s your first time attending class, it’s best not to stand in front of the room. If you stand behind someone that is already familiar with class it will be easier for you to follow.
Do not be late for class. We usually start the class 10 minutes past the official listed start of class4 to allow students time to prepare themselves for the lesson. The beginning of the class is important for warming up your body.
Please dress comfortably, with clothing that allows you to move freely. (We don’t recommend jeans or boots). Note: There are different shoes for each discipline. Before purchasing shoes, take class and note what shoes will be best for you.
Please pay close attention when the instructor is speaking and breaking down class material. Please bring your syllabus to class.
Relax, have fun and enjoy!
